Q.

#AskTheExpert my son 6mo who was exclusively breastfed does not pass stools regularly...only once a week only ...but normally he passes lots of gas...and his stools r v soft though...now I've weaning him and still he passes stools once a week even when I give him fluids and continue to breastfeed.

A. in addition to the breast milk you can give baby some water to drink to have proper hydration and to soften the stool you have to give all the seasonal fruits to the baby their source of fibre

A. Hello ma’am Since your child has completed six months of age you can start with regular semisolid food where in you can start with rice Dal water porridge khichadi mashed banana mashed potato mashed sweet potato Suji Kheer Suji Upma ragi oats and you can go for vegetable purees vegetable soup all kind of fruits available in the market on room temperature cheese Paneer and curd also you can give and give good amount of water
