#asktheexpert my baby is overweight.. how I can reduce weight

A. Dear mum, to reduce your child's weight, give a healthy home based diet. child's nutrient requirements are high for growth. at the same time food should come from healthy sources. give whole grains, oats avoid refined cereals, bread give high fibre and good protein beans whole pulses all seasonal fruits and vegetables, give low fat milk and Milk products avoid fruit juices give whole fruit avoid ghee on top of food give small frequent about 5 meals to the child and a healthy snack in between. set a positive example for your child, create a conducive environment for building healthy eating habits and be an active family. dont buy, store unhealthy foods like sweet chocolate cake, biscuit, sugary juices , colas, chips totally avoid intake of junk and packet foods, processed avoid eating out frequently limit tv and gadget time avoid eating in front of television do not bribe or offer unhealthy treats for good behaviour child should engage in active physical play for at least 1 to 2 hours per day.
