#AskTheExpert My baby is 2 months 20 days old..she has too much cold..from last 4 days am using cold drops..but no use...day time little bit better..but nyt times she is not sleeping becoz of that chest congestion...plz suggest any other option..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicgiiine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
