#AskTheExpert my baby going to be a six month, which foods or supplement we can strt for eating for her, and how much water is needed in Summer sessions

A. Soft, mashed and hygienically prepared foods like you can begin with porridges (like rice, Ragi, wheat flour , moong dal and rice flour mix) , kheer then dal-rice with vegetables, veg khichadi, soft mashed fruits, curds, later mashed paneer cheese, Vegetable Daliya consistency of food should be like that of ghee avoid water thin foods like thin dals and rice water, soups. Squeeze lemon in baby's food for iron absorption. start with 3-4 tsp and then about half katori per meal about 2 to 3 meals per day. give 1 food for about 3-6 days for baby to accept and to see how baby tolerates it then introduce another new food. you can give few sips of water in between and after meals. breast milk and food also contain water and fulfills the Hydration needs of the baby.
