#asktheexpert my baby gets red scaly rashes on her cheeks, elbows, what can be done? she is also having very dry skin. should we avoid oil and soap? Is this type of rash common or something that is serious

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. your child might be suffering from dry skin so kindly apply any type of moisturizing lotion along with virgin coconut oil at least three or four times every day and that will only help in decreasing the rash

Coconut oil massage is very beneficial
You may apply cataphil lotion over the affected area.
take sunbath daily with her head and ears covered
If symptoms persist and if there are other symptoms , please consult your pediatrician
