Q.
#AskTheExpert my 1 yr 10 months old boy falls sick every month and we have to use nebulization. he gets cold cough and wheezing. don't know exactly what is triggering. we are taking all measures to be not in contact with dust and cold. please suggest what we have to do.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which s hehould be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good morning I would recommend you to make sure that you get flu vaccination done for the child at frequent intervals that is around 8 to 10 months this will to make sure the baby is not catching cold so often
