#asktheexpert my 1 year baby girl, weight 8 kg, get cold and nose is running, maxtra doseage plz

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic condition and needs a proper evaluation. steam inhalation will be very effective. decongestant medicine like ascoril flu / wikoryl / sisnarest can be gviven. viral illness could also have associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly.

A. Sinarist Can be given to the child or twice a day for three days also going to advise you to go ahead with using nasal drops into the nose of your child you can use it four times in the day and since your child is within the age of one year I’m just going to advise you to go ahead with 1MM and if it is more than one year then you can give it 1.5 ML
