#asktheexpert is it ok to ur 5 month baby give solid as he is double thn his birth weight..

A. Give pureed lentil, mixed vegetable soup, pureed apple and pear, mashed banana, ragi and sooji porridge, khichdi, etc.

A. It is recommended to introduce semi solid foods in baby's diet only between the age of 5-6 months. You can now feed foods apart from milk as it will be helpful not only to increase weight but also for overall physical and mental growth. Start slow with 4-6 spoons per serving and twice a day .
