#asktheexpert is it advisable to take antibiotic (powder and sterile water type) to 1y 7m girl for only cold and no other symptoms. our pediatrician prescribed antibiotic along with syrup for cold.

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi parent it's hard to comment upon without proper examination you can wait for 3 days if the symptoms persists take antibiotics give saline nasal drops and steam inhalation with baby rub avoid exposure to cold

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl4 years agoA. hi as it is prescribed by your pediatrician,it must be safe. so you can give it as per your doctor's prescription. please keep your child well hydrated especially during cold and cough episodes. give indirect steam. massage with warm coconut oil and Tulsi leaves is also best for this.
