#asktheexpert i have a gallbladder removal surgery coming up in a day and my 7 month old is still breastfeeding. any tips on how to handle and post op care

A. Namaste Mom, As mostly the baby could be introduced to weaning foods so semi solids to soft consistency foods, can be given and more emphasis could be on that . as you need rest, dr would give you some pain relief medication, which are safe during lactation, avoid lifting weights as such and strenusous activity, have plenty of fluids, try walking as much as comfortable only , but walk some as to prevent blood clots diet should light in small quantities to start with and avoid fatty and spicy foods as you feed fine with your health you can resume breast feeding
