#AskTheExpert I delivered my daughter on 11 Dec 2020 and I had bleeding for 45 days then it stopped. It's almost 4 months now and I've not got my periods..is it something to worry about?

A. well its normal and good not getting period when you are breastfeeding. best is to use a good contraception and wait fir weaning as after that it will get ok

A. Typically, women who are breastfeeding don't get their periods as quickly because of the body's hormones. Prolactin, the hormone needed to produce breast milk, can suppress reproductive hormones. As a result, you don't ovulate or release an egg for fertilization. Without this process, you most likely won't menstruate.
