#AskTheExpert I am a mother of 9 month old..and have a C-Section delivery 9 months ago... i am giving breastfeed to my son.. From past 3 days I am having body ache, headache,, cough, throat pain and running nose..taking paracetamol, azee too.. but no improvement in throat pain and cough... please suggest what medicines I can take while breastfeesding...

A. Try the following to help the discomfort of a cold or a sore throat when breastfeeding: Take honey and lemon mixed in hot water, or sip on other warm fluids like natural teas to keep your throat moist. Gargle some salt water. If you have a cough, try a cough medicine that is based on glycerine and honey.
