#AskTheExpert Hi, what kind of food should a 2 month old lactating mother eat to increase lactation. Are meat like Pork, mutton and chicken etc. harmful? Please suggest supplementary drinks and food sold in the market to increase the lactation.

A. don't consume meat.. Consume ple ty of fluids, dates, nuts, jeera, Dill seeds , fenugreek seeds, sauf, ajwain, papaya, spoon of desi ghee and butter plus a katori of assorted nuts , makhana everyday. Drink lots of milk and curds and plus proteins supplements. Lactare capsules or powder to increase breast milk.

A. No it’s not harmful abd you can have it once ir twice a week but avoid eating it on regular basis as they are heavy to digest foods and might lead to gas formation and continue eating a healthy diet take care

A. food to increase milk take green papaya bitter gourd bottle gourd fennel seeds garlic oats ragi Dalia sabudana take lactation supplement as lactare or mother sparsh vardaan more you nurse milk will increase in my tradition non veg is not recommended for six months
