Q.

#asktheexpert Hi mam, I was found mild anaemic (9 hB) after delivery. mine is vaginal birth. I have low milk secretion. I tested by manual pumping and I got only less than 45 ml from both side.. Is anaemia reason for my low milk secretion? As my 2 month old baby was fed insufficient by me and doesn't gain weight, I started formula daily 3 times 60 ml per session.

A. Maam haemoglobin is less that does not lead to milk formation it’s a different thing altogether these things are not connected to your haemoglobin is low you should work upon increasing that but trust me has got no connection with low lactation
