#AskTheExpert Hey Doc, My just turned one year old girl is having fever since 15th Feb..today is the fourth day. I am giving her Calpol drops.. initially fever was repeating after every 3 hours then nxt day it was repeating after 4 hours and now it is repeating after 6 hours.Temp remains up to 101 °c .. just worried when she will become normal.. she is eating and drinking milk n water also..expect fever there is no other symptoms. Kindly help..thanks

A. Hello mommy, Call your pediatrician if your baby temperature drops below 97.7 rectally. Your child's fever lasts more than five days. Your pediatrician may need to investigate further for underlying causes. Your child's fever is higher than 104 F (> 40 C). The type of infection causing the fever usually determines how often the fever recurs and how long the fever lasts. Fevers due to viruses can last for as little as two to three days and sometime as long as two weeks. A fever caused by a bacterial infection may continue until the child is treated with an antibiotic
