Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello Sir, I am Mrunali Gaikwad, 14 weeks pregnant. We have done NT scan and everything is fine in that. we have also done double marker test for baby and it is showing intermediate risk(1:114) for down syndrome. Should we go further for invasive test. Actually I am worried about the invasive test process so is it mandatory to have this or we can go ahead without invasive testing and wait for anomaly scan. please help us out. Thank you.

A. Hello dear It’s totally upto you: To accurately find out if the baby has an anomaly or not the only way to find out is by amniocentesis or nipt test

A. @Dr. Sabiha Anjum you mean that amniocentesis test is not only the option and as per your opinion we can also go for anomaly scan before that test. right?
