Q.

#asktheexpert hello mam my son is one year and 3 months now my son coughs with force about 4 to 5 times a day.. he mostly coughs while eating or after eating.. drinking water and rarely other time too our pediatrician suggested zyrcold which v r giving twice daily please suggest the reason or what should be done to stop

A. can't say why so what you have mentioned this problem here will need a detailed examination by doctor and for this also for the diagnosis of problem there may be required some tests also

A. Instead, offer toddler cough remedies like a cool mist humidifier running in your little one's room, steam from the hot shower, liquids like water, juice or warm decaffeinated tea, saline drops in the nose using a bulb syringe to take the mucus out, and a teaspoon of honey if your child is older than 1.
