#asktheexpert Hello Dr. i have a question regarding water my baby is 10months old and he is not drinking sufficient water....what to do? How to offer?

A. the frequency of urination should be more than 5 or 6 times per day. the colour of the urine should be pale yellow to transparent. if the above two criteria isx achieved then no need to worry but if it is less than kindly give more fluid food, water and juice to the child. please do not wxorry if the child is not passing urine at night time.

A. When babies are between 6 and 12 months of age, breast milk or formula continues to be a priority over water. But if you offer breast milk or formula first, you can then offer water, 2-3 ounces at a time. At this age, 4-8 ounces a day of water is enough.
