#AskTheExpert Hello doc, my daughter is 6 months old now, how to introduce solid food and water and in how much quantity. it would be great if you can help me to understand this

A. Starts with liquid diet like Moong Daal paani or rice kangi. give it for once in a day. follow three day rule. If it takes well than gradually you can introduce fruits and vegetables puree, and increase consistency. gi e water few sips like 30nml of water a day.

See the quantity can be 5 to 70 spoons at a point of time because you cannot expect your child to immediately it what you are giving so five or 7 teaspoons to 10 even if your child is accepting you can go ahead with adding all the necessary spices including salt into the food start with dal rice water far is khichadi mashed banana mashed potato vegetable purees vegetable soup pumpkin soup fruits of all files can be given to the child dairy products and good amount of waterWrite Your Answer Here
