Lovleena MishraMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Once the child completes 6 months of age, start with one solid or one semi solid meal per day initially and then increase gradually. Give one food item for 3 days to find out the foods the baby may be allergic to and then on the 4th day, start with a new food item. You can give rice Ka Pani or Dal Ka Pani or rice porridge with mashed carrot or stewed apple or stewed pear or any one fruit puree or any one vegetable puree or clear vegetable soup. 2-3 weeks after starting solids, you can give rice carrot porridge, spinach pumpkin puree, mashed banana, avocados, etc.
You can make her stand holding her hands. But do not exert too much. Babies can usually bear most of their weight on their legs by about 5-6 months when held in a standing position.
