POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. Severe leg pain during the 5th month of pregnancy is common and can be due to increased weight, poor blood circulation, calcium or magnesium deficiency, or pressure on nerves. To relieve pain:
Stay active with gentle exercises like walking or prenatal yoga. Stretch your legs before sleeping and do light foot rotations. Keep your legs elevated while resting to improve circulation. Drink plenty of water to prevent muscle cramps. Increase calcium & magnesium intake through dairy, bananas, and nuts. Massage with warm oil or apply a warm compress for relief.
If the pain is persistent, accompanied by swelling, redness, or difficulty walking, consult your doctor to rule out any serious issues like deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
