#AskTheExpert does dengue affect baby in womb in third trimester ? what precautions can be taken ,please advice thanks

A. Usually if the mother is doing fine and then it should not have any affect on the baby as you’re already in your third trimester . Sometimes there could be growth restriction and for that you have to be in constant touch with your doctorWrite Your Answer Here

A. Yes.. A pregnant woman already infected with dengue can pass the virus to her fetus during pregnancy or around the time of birth. Dengue can have harmful effects, including of the low birth weight, and premature birth. Take care
