A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a propser hydra tion needs to be maintained .

A. dear mother it is obvious that if your child is heavily congested you need to take doctors help and medicines should be started under doctors prescription along with that you need to start giving the steam streaming is very effective remedy as it will help to get rid of the congestion along with the medicines and the process will be done really faster so you must steam your child at regular intervals like two or three times a day it is very important and helpful
