#asktheexpert baby weight is around 5.9 and she is 5 months and two weeks, exclusive breastfeeding baby. how to increase weight and when can start solids

A. baby wt around 5.9 is good wt.. baby at 6 mnths should be double the birth wt and three times the birth wt at completing one yr.. after baby turns 6 mnths gv rice water dal water ragi dalia sabudana khichdi puree mashed boiled fruits and veg.. remember one new food one at a time

Q. My LO is 9 weeks old now. I had an emergency CS and could not start on breastfeeding until day 5. He was given formula for first two weeks along with breastfeeding. then we went on exclusive breastfeeding for 3 weeks. baby used to be fussy and cranky most of the time, even after hour long nursing sessions and didnt gain any weight. so we restarted formula and continued breastfeeding and he has gained weight since. His formula requirements are increasing with age. can I increase my breastmilk supply accordingly?
