14days old baby have cold, kindly suggest

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is therebj paracetamol can be givend to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Sinarist AF paediatric drops can be given to the child as of now you can go ahead with giving five drops twice a day but I do advise you to consult your paediatrician the child is extremely small right now so it’s better that you do not give anything without consulting your doctor
