Q.

10 month baby got UTI, treated with antibiotics & recovered, now recommended for doing cystogram, is it necessary?, is this a safe procedure.

A. if the baby doesn't have any problem right now and the infection as control first of all I can go for ultrasonogram of the baby which is safe if there is any problem then we can plan accordingly

Q. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and having klebsiella pneumoniae uti. i was treated with Amoxicillin 500mg for 5 days, cefuroxime 500 mg for 5 days and ceftriaxone injection 1g for 3 days but still uti is not cleared. now doctor suggested cefaperozone+sulbactum 1.5g twice a day for 5 days. is it safe during pregnancy? does this antibiotics cause any birth defects?
