Q.

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and having klebsiella pneumoniae uti. i was treated with Amoxicillin 500mg for 5 days, cefuroxime 500 mg for 5 days and ceftriaxone injection 1g for 3 days but still uti is not cleared. now doctor suggested cefaperozone+sulbactum 1.5g twice a day for 5 days. is it safe during pregnancy? does this antibiotics cause any birth defects?

A. Hello dear If you are having severe infection then this medication can be taken during pregnancy.did you inform that you are pregnant to your treating doctor or not when you took treatment
