A coin has two sides and so does life. It’s filled with ups and downs but it’s the latter that we have a tough time dealing with. Whether it’s because of a demanding boss, sour relationships, troublesome in-laws or tension regarding your kids, try to find a solution to solvable problems and have patience with the rest.

Tips for Turning Not-so-good Days to Better Ones

1. Deviate Your Mind

First and foremost, try to distract yourself from disturbing thoughts and make way for positive ones. Yes, it’s hard to do so but you need to start somewhere. Engage your mind in an activity like meditation or music. It’s been shown that such activities are calming and can help focus the mind.

2. Don’t Wash Dirty Linen in Public

While talking about what’s bothering you can be a good thing, it’s not always a great idea. Why? People may not be able to solve your problems and may inadvertently give you wrong advice. What’s more, not everyone will look to help and some may even enjoy your misery. If you must talk, let it be with someone you know you can trust.

3. Read Books

You may have heard that books can be your best friends, but what you might not know is that they can be counsellors in the hardest of times too. Books contain wisdom and can act as guides whenever you feel low. The next time you’re having a not-so-good day and you need a time-out, grab a book and immerse yourself in it.

4. Write

Talk to your diary. It can be your personal dump yard for getting rid of negative and self-sabotaging thoughts. Be in the habit of keeping a journal as it helps to de-clutter the mind and de-stress the soul. Whenever you wonder what to do if things are not going your way, just pour all troubling thoughts and energy into your diary and close it. You’ll heave a sigh of relief!

5. Endurance is a Weapon

People often say that patience is the key to problems. But so is endurance. Always remember that each day has something great in store for you. To unlock your day’s treasure, focus on the positives and have faith that things will fall into place. Be grateful for all your blessings no matter how small they may be. Gratitude speeds up the frequency of good events and transforms days in a magical way.

Whether you’re riding on life’s high or trying to cope with the ebb of the tide, you need to make the most of your life. No one else can do it for you! Accept that there are obstacles and they’re just a part of living. Hold your head high and face both the sweet and sour moments with confidence and a go-getter attitude.
