My marriage was arranged and my mom and mother in law were asking me to try for a child just after six months of my wedding. After some time, I convinced them but my husband did not agree at that early stage. I was so afraid after hearing about the miscarriages of my close relatives but I was not sure how to convince my husband. He wanted to spend some more time with me and I agreed with him but I was afraid. I went to my gynaecologist for a checkup and everything was normal but it became so difficult to calm down myself from that overthinking. After 1 year of marriage, I was ready to take some pills for ovulation and then the day arrived. I went to the gynecologist just to consult about my backache and then I had a pregnancy test which was positive! I was so shocked and at the same time so happy.
Again after 8 weeks, there were some complications and I felt like I’ll lose my baby but my husband and doctor helped me in that phase. I had some family tensions and had to travel overnight but everything went normal. I was so afraid until the completion of 4 months and after that, I started enjoying time with my baby. Rest of the pregnancy went normal with some mood swings and taste swings. We were first-time parents and didn’t know anything about labour and we don’t have anyone elder to us, with us due to the lockdown. My husband always was worried and he kept asking my gynaecologist for the symptom of labour. Now, it was a good morning for us when the doctor asked us to visit her hospital for an emergency checkup and I delivered a baby boy on 25th April 2020 in the next one hour of visit. Now my husband says that it’s worth to forgo our own personal life for this little one.
