As your baby grows older and begins to move within your womb, your doctor may advise you to track his movements. The easiest and most natural way to do this is by counting how many times your baby ‘kicks’ you from within. Counting kicks does not require any sophisticated machine just a keen mama watching out for her baby’s activity!

You might wonder if this is all necessary but be assured, a lot of lives have been saved because of due vigilance of an observant mother! A sudden and/or significant change in your baby’s movements can indicate some sort of distress your baby is in. Sometimes it can also convey the baby’s emotions to you like when he starts jumping because you had a piece of cake! So, not only is this activity important, but it is also fun!
