Why does baby's head get super hot during fever?? can we apply coconut oil to head then?? #asktheexperts

A. can apply coconut oil. give pcm as per prescribed dose and at proper adviced time interval . Give tepid sponging to bring down the temperature if fever ..Always use room temperature water/tap water..not cool, because shivering can actually raise your baby's temperature rather than help bring it down. The child should also be encouraged to drink fluids to replace those lost through sweating.
