Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives med Sticine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl4 years agoA. hi mam, usually mild illness doesn't need any medication. just offer plenty of breastfeeds ,it is first and best remedy for such viral Infection. dress your child in weather appropriate clothes for blocked nose,use nasal saline drops. give indirect steam. give sunbath for 20 minutes a day and best to give Massage with Babyhug massage oil .
