when I do hand express the milk I don't get more milk..is my milk supply low???

A. If you're not able to express a significant amount of milk during hand expression, it doesn't necessarily mean that your milk supply is low. Hand expression can be more challenging for some individuals compared to using a breast pump or nursing directly. To assess if your milk supply is low, it may be helpful to consider other factors such as your baby's weight gain, wet diaper output, and overall satisfaction after breastfeeding. If your baby is growing well, having an adequate number of wet diapers, and seems content after feedings, it suggests that your milk supply is likely meeting their needs. If you remain concerned about your milk supply, it's a good idea to reach out to a lactation consultant or healthcare provider for guidance. They can evaluate your breastfeeding technique, provide tips to increase milk production, and address any other concerns you may have.
