What will do if fever not reduce after calpol150 in child

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usgually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpfcul .
Doctor consultation should be doneh if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

You can repeat it after every six hours the medication for fever can be repeated after six hours Siri if you feel the fever is not reducing then start doing Thande Paani Ki Patti along with that if required please consult your paediatrician as wellWrite Your Answer Here
