Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year ago
A. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow. you have to meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice.x normal simple jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy. the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.

A. It would totally depend what is the level of jaundice on that basis only the doctors will decide whether the child has to be kept in phototherapy or not so go for what your paediatrician has to advise because of different factors are taken into consideration
