Q.

We had a normal delivery on May 24th and there is a small lump (swollen) on top of the head of my 3 weeks baby. It hasn’t gone away yet after birth and I’m worried that it might not gone away soon. Any idea how long it could take to get that healed. Suggestions please ??

A. It is called as caput. It comes due to pressure of the cervix over the head and it will take 1 to 2 months to resolve completely. When you go for vaccination show it to the doctor if it still hasn’t reduced

A. Hello dear parent, it would be better to consult with your paediatric once. As he would examine the problem and guide you on that basis. Do not worry much. As nothing can be said much about it until proper examination is done. Good luck and take care
