hi doctor, my new born girl of 7 days has a squicy small lump on the center of her head does it go away or do we have to massage it when we are bathing her

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 8 m old boy4 years agoA. “Caput succedaneum” refers to swelling, or edema, of an infant's scalp that appears as a lump or bump on their head shortly after delivery. This condition is harmless and is due to pressure put on the infant's head during delivery. It doesn't indicate damage to the brain or the bones of the cranium.
