We are using cough and cold syrups from last 2 days, but both are reduced and kid is suffering badly. please help us

Cough and cold can we because of some allergtic reaction in the body most of the time it is viral in the origin need to give symptomatic treatment first like steam inhalation and some home remedies cough expecrtorant may be required along with anti allergic medications
