During pregnancy there are total for sonography to be done the 1st one in your early pregnancy to know about the baby's cardiac activity,( 7 - 8 weeks) 2nd is the NT scan which detects fetal defects if present( 11 - 12 weeks) 3rd scan is an anamoly scan to know about all the body parts of the baby ( 19 -20 weeks ) 4th is done during 9 month to know about baby's growth pattern and amniotic Fluid level( after 29 weeks)

NikithaMom of a 11 yr 8 m old boy2 years agoA. hello yes a scanning is advise during 2.5 months to 3 months and you should be getting it done as adviced by a doctor which would be better and safe to know the growth of the baby and absolutely nothing to worry about a not a problem
