Q.

sir my baby had meconium aspiration during birth due to which he had severe pphn and sepsis. after 7 days he was discharged from the hospital. please tell me is there any long term effect of this. does it lead to mental disability or autism?

A. baby may not have mental disability autism unless baby is having birth asphyxia Further it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination if required there is need for appropriate investigations also in this regard o k

A. Hi parent The said syndrome has some long term effects but it doesn't cause any serious effect on brain and it's development in future if damage is done initially then it is different case please consult your pediatrician
