Q.

sir my baby boy is 5 months old n is totally on breast feed.. his birth weight was 3.2 kg n right now he has increased his weight to 11 kg. he is gaining milestones accordingly n is perfectly good in activities also.. i m really concerned for the weight he is gaining rapidly. .. kindly do the needfull

A. Generally, breastfed newborns gain weight faster than formula-fed babies for the first 3 months of life. One likely reason for this is that breast milk is a dynamic and ever-changing food, composed of the exact nutrition a baby needs at that stage. On the other hand, formula is a static composition of ingredients.
