Q.

Since yesterday my childs temperature rises upto 103F and comes down within an hour with calpol...the fever is repeating every 4 hrs...he doesn't have cold or cough...what could it be then?

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammmatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose fas the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
