Q.

recently I have changed my hometown.so the influenza vaccine which my son's paediatrician gave till last year was flaurix tetra but after coming to new place another paediatrician says flaurix tetra is not available now.He referred another influenza vaccine.So I wanted to know that is it necessary to give the same influenza vaccine every year or can be changed according to the strains?

A. no it is not necessary and you can change the brand flu vaccine also known as influenza vaccine is very important for decreasing the chances of viral infection by at least 60% in your child. the first dosage is given at the end of 6 months and the second dosage at the end of 7 months and then every year till completion of 7 years of age. previously it was an optional vaccine but now it is considered as an important vaccine for children. flu vaccine can be started at any age. best time for flu vaccine is usually just before rainy season on set

A. There is no problem u can change the vaccine as per your doctors suggestion as there r diff brands for vaccine so u can change as per your doc advice so u can go for what your doc is suggesting as that’s totally good
