Q.
past 1 week my 1yr6month boy baby had diarrhea . his motion is yellow with smelly cold like white color coming in motion . my doctor given netazoxanide oral suspension & zinc suspension .I'm giving past 3 days . he is going motion in a day 3 r 4 times bt still motion is smelly cold like liquid is coming . suggest medicine to stop it

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. again go for stool examination which will tell which type of infection the child is suffering from
kindly give ORS for every episode of loose motion and give simple diet made from rice dal and khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana and the natural probiotics from the curd will help in decreasing the loose motion and if it is not improving in one or two days then kindly meet your doctor.
also you cannot give outside milk to the child and you cannot give cerelac also but you can continue to give breastfeeding if going on for next few days

You should just continue giving the medication advised by your Paediatrician . Diarrhoea cannot be controlled just in a day it takes time. In passing stool 3 to 4 times is not more. And it is very necessary that infection goes out. So just continue giving the medication but if your baby doesn’t get relief in next 3 to 4 days then consult with your doctor again
