one year old is having cold and cough.how to get rid of mucus

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough is a protective reflex of the body to expel out the mucus or any irritant factor from the respiratory tract which is most of the time assosiated with cold due to any viral or bacterial infection . A proper examination is required to find the cause . As a home remedy you can start with steam inhalation . Cough can be treated with cough supprressant ofdr antitussives as per the cause. For cold antihistamines are useful and nasal saline drops are also benifecial .

Manali K MehtaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hi parent for nasal blockage one can use the nasal saline drops keep a bowl of chopped onion near her bed apptox three feet far over night take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered in the morning keep her well hydrated
