Q.

My wife had a normal delivery. The baby is just 3 months 19 days old. She needs to be fit. When should she start to exercise? Is there any problem doing abdominal exercise? If no, when should she start?

A. Like you said as the baby is JUST three months old your wife is also JUST three months postpartum and focusing on her abdominal girth is not important thing right now rather her over all health. So don’t force her is she’s not ready.Write Your Answer Here

A. I know it might feel that she might require the exercise but cut her some slack she has gone through lots of physical changes and once she feels not overwhelmed she can start working out and it is better that it is started in a gradual manner and slowly because if anything done too much during this time might intern harm her. She can start with thousand steps per day and no dieting as long as she is exclusively breast-feeding the baby and she has to take high-protein diet for the milk production and also for her body to heal properly.

A. No problem in exercising but we should not do heavy workouts
