Q.

My son's birth weight is 3kg. he is now 6 months old and weighs 6.4 kg. is this ok or he has to put on some weight. What foods can be given to him bcoz my milk supply is also low?

A. Hello mom babies tend to double their birth weight by the age of 4 to 6 months and then triple by one year of age. You can now introduce him to weaning foods initially starting with some liquids such as dal or rice water or vegetable soup or fresh fruits juices.. and as the baby accepts them well you can move to semi solids and mashed foods
