A. Dear ma’am, I totally understand your concern but please know that your kid is not extremely underweight. Toddlerhood is a stage where there won’t be rapid growth and hence appetite will also be less. More than that kids generally are explorative in nature and their preferences towards food changes. The more you force feed, the more he will refuse. Your kid needs 10-15 times repeated exposure to foods even before he starts liking to eat them. So sit with your kid and try to have one meal atleast everyday. It will help him develop self feeding skills. And also instead of plain milk try banana dates and almond milkshakes. It will not only fill the tummy but also provide adequate nutrition and helps in weight gain

A. Hi mom The weight of ur baby is fine. If ur baby is active and playful then no need to worry about weight much. Kids are fussy in eating food. Give natural appetiser like coconut water, jeera water, curd with mint etc to increase the appetite of ur baby. Give variety of food and choices to ur baby as giving same food daily looses baby's interest in eating. Give finger food as self feeding encourages eating.
