A. Hi Doctor, I appreciate your quick response.. Is curd, cheese also considered as milk products or are they seperate??? he has khichdi, rawa, oats, raagi and fruits as well.. but milk is like his go to! another peadiatric told me that i should only limit milk intake to 250ml a day.. or else he will start having constipation and anemia issues.. do i have to worry about that???

A. 400ml per day at this age you have to offer everything which is made at home to your child. you have to give 500 ml milk everyday and you can either give milk or milk products but the amount should be total of 500 ml you have to give at least one and half katori rice and one katori dal everyday. you have to give at least one and half katori vegetables everyday. you have to give at least one and half katori wheat/roti products to the child everyday. you have to give at least two fruits everyday you can go for different recipes and flavours according to your local delicacies and diets. you can add ghee as well as dry fruits to the diet.
