Q.

my son got his vaccination for DTP, varicella & influenza on 11 of this month. he developed fever next day evening of his vaccine shot and also having now. how long does fever stay after the shot . please need ur suggestion

A. thanq sir. I'm giving him P250. fever is subsiding after the dose may be after 8 - 10 hr slowly body temp is raising. he had fever since Saturday evening. and yes he is complaining pain in the area of shot. is it a normal scenario?

A. most of the times the vaccination fever everlasting one or two days only e but baby maybe having some pain at the injection site which may last another day extra

A. Max two days. If there is fever give paracetamol as prescribed by your doctor. see that if there is a pain and little swelling, give a hot compress to baby. Soak a cotton cloth in hot water squeeze it and gently press on injected area. Ensure wzye risnt too hot. Also cold compress czn help baby relax. If there is heavy swelling or puss or heavy redness then immediately you should see your doctor.
